Smooth Yourself

Phase 4, Take 15

As in fifteen days into phase 4.

That glorious phase where I’ve eaten like a pig, but healthy, and have stayed within a pound or so of my reset weight.

πŸ‘

I have made it a practice now to have a smoothie for breakfast. It’s quick, easy and delicious, starting the day off packing in good fats and calories.

Today’s, shown in the picture, is the Kefir Berry Smoothie, suggested by NutriMost.

1 cup Kefir
1 Banana
1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
2/3 cup Frozen Strawberries
3/4 cup Frozen Blueberries

Makes 1 large serving, 460 calories.

Throw in blender and BOOM….breakfast. Or snack. I drank two a day to help me get to my almost 2,000 calories in the first week of phase 4.

Kefir, for those who are unfamiliar is a cousin of yogurt.

How did I never hear of this before?

Oh, that’s right. Pre-NutriMost I ate garbage. Literally.

One of my favorite smoothies is the peanut butter one. I try to limit to every other day. My crack-like-fix is now nut butters (see previous post about my overindulgence).

1 cup Kefir
1 Banana
1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp. Organic Peanut Butter
(no sugar added!)

Makes 1 large serving, 540 calories

Speaking of peanut butter, have you tried these?!

Tonight, I am making this:

Ok. Maybe I should’ve titled this, Peanut Butter Obsession.

I didn’t like my peanut butter cups! They were horrible. I guess I really don’t like stevia!

I think i used very little Stevia. I crave them now! Def not the same as the real ones, but with no sugar in my diet….I’ll take them. πŸ˜‹

Shari and Shirley you guys are great!!! I always look forward to reading about what you two have going on. You should be proud of all of your hard work and indeed you are an inspiration! And some days it is your blog and comments that really give me courage to try new food and not give up! Thank you!!! And the pic of Kefir, perfect, now I know what to look for! I don’t have a FB support group so this is wonderful! πŸ˜ƒ

Kim, that is awesome that you find on here what both Shirley and I searched the world wide web for….information on this curiously wonderful program. And I am glad we inspire you. Share about yourself and where you are at in the program!

I knew the pics of the Kefir would help. When I first heard about it, I had no idea what to look for!
